Mel Gibson's Apocalypto was released today. Despite any backlash from the whole "oops, I might be an anti-semite" thing, reviews look favourable. So will the box office sun shine on the wee Aussie? Only time (namely, a weekend) will tell. With that in mind:
1) Which celebrity (or public figure) do you dislike the most?
2) Awful lot of racist remarks and clashes happening in Hollywood these days. Looks like they need a Morality Sheriff. You're pinning the star on:
3) It seems that Politicians and Celebrities both are doling out their fair shares of stupid remarks. Who should be held more accoutable? The guy who Governs Hundreds of Thousands, or the guy who is Watched by Millions?
4) Your best friend, saved your life, can't live without them, has just made a comment about ___________, and now you don't know if you guys can hang out anymore. Fill in the blank; what would it take to break that bond?
5) Have you ever been accused of being a racist or bigot? Was it warranted (be honest)?

1) Sean Hannity. As much as everyone always wants to say Bush, just listening to any sentence out of Sean Hannity's mouth makes me want to hurl a large pointy thing at his head. Even if that means wrecking my tv. He truly does embody everything I dislike about, well, Republicans.
2) Jasmine Guy. But Jasmine Guy as the meter maid grim reaper from "Dead Like Me". She kicked ass.
3) Even though one would think that stars are not really held to any sort of standard when it concerns their behaviour, only the stupid (and naive) celebrity thinks that they don't have an effect. However, celebrities don't make laws. And politicians do. So politicians is my answer.
4) That's tough. Almost any racist remark will get me angry, but I don't know if I would end the friendship. Homophobic, maybe. But honestly, I think the relationship ender would be if they made a strongly Favourable commetn concerning either Hard Core Christians, or Hard Core Catholics. 'Cause if you agree with them, you ain't no friend of mine.
5) The only time I can really pinpoint is when I was at the Miss Winterfest Pageant cheering on my friend the contestant. It was a bit of a hard core high school and there were "yays" and "boos" everywhere. I Yayed my friend and Booed another contestant...who was black. The guy in front of me turned and called me a "fuckin' racist". Was it warranted? No. Not at all. But I did learn it doesn't matter. 'Cause even being Called a racist has That Day imprinted on my brain. Think he remembers it? I doubt it.

Toughie. No one comes to mind immediately. I'm going to go with Fred Phelps, for obvious reasons.

Rosie O'Donnell. She has the respect of her peers and she doesn't take any shit. Watching her on the view is pretty awesome.

The government. People who are watched can be unwatched. It's more hurtful to the whole and more difficult to deal with stupid politicians.
4) Your best friend, saved your life, can't live without them, has just made a comment about ___________, and now you don't know if you guys can hang out anymore. Fill in the blank; what would it take to break that bond?
Poor single parents. Probably because they face a desperate struggle that I see all the time with my work.
5) Have you ever been accused of being a racist or bigot? Was it warranted (be honest)?
Ya, I was accused of being homophobic by my Canadian Law teacher in College, the first time around. (Because I complained about his teaching style and had also seen him at a gay bar.) Whatever.
1. Um, gee... I love them all so much... but if I have to choose...
Tyra Banks can suck it,
Bill O'Reilly... blow me,
Anybody who hosts any entertainment show... anyone gracing the video backdrop on any entertainment show... except Drew Barrymore, who can do no wrong.
2. The folks down in the bible belt can fight over it... but I think the winner will be a fellow in Texas, Bill Priefert. He owns the tallest horse in the world. BaDumChing.
3. This one is tough. Sadly, it is the general population that watches and/or elects the losers... and who continue to watch and/or elect the losers even after they show us what they are made of.
4. For many reasons, I have no clue what the breakpoint would be.
5. When I was young my uncle told me a bad joke. I told it to a group of people and based on the reaction I got, I assume most thought I was an ass. Huge opportunity for some major introspection.
1) Stephen Harper. Wait, that's an obvious one. The "big three" in Hollywood right now...Linds Lo, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears. Between dropping their infants, flashing their bits all over town (and not nice bits! Have you SEEN Lindsay Lohan's bits? Her vag looks like a pig's ear), and spewing the most ignorant, idiotic crap I have EVER heard uttered by a celebrity, those three ought to be driven out into the middle of the desert and shot. The fact that these morons are role models for an entire continent of young girls is sickening, and insulting to our intelligence. I'll stop now.
2) Morality sheriff, eh? I think I'd have to go with one of Hollywood's beloved "elderly" actresses...Susan Sarandon. She's whipsmart, she knows her politics, and she's a fox. Perfect.
3) Politicians. Celebrities are just stupid, and they aren't leading us blindfolded into war.
4)My mama! Forget about not hanging out anymore, you'll just be dead! That's all!
Joking. I don't know. I'm a pretty forgiving person.
5)I don't think anyone has ever called me on it but I'm definitely a bit scared of Arab men. I can't help it. Every time I have felt seriously uncomfortable/victimized by a man, he has been Arab. They just don't have any respect for women (same goes for many other men/cultures) and I can't handle that.
1) Brett Hull. Finally gone from hockey!
2) Rumsfeld could use a job!
3) The people everybody else voted for... (come on, don't pretend you actually ever vote! Everybody complains, but less than half vote...)
4) "My Family". See ya!
5) Of course! Because every founding member of the the Reform Party HAD to be racist, right?
